LIFE.

- Section 4 -

Proverbs 21:21
21 He that followeth after
righteousness and mercy findeth life,
righteousness, and honour.
Proverbs 12:28
28 In the way of righteousness is
life: and in the pathway thereof
there is no death.

***
I John 2:25,29
25 And this is the promise that he
hath promised us, even eternal life.
29 If ye know that he is righteous,
ye know that every one that doeth
righteousness is born of him.

***
Romans 8:2,10
2 For the law of the Spirit of life
in Christ Jesus hath made me free
from the law of sin and death.
10 And if Christ be in you, the
body is dead because of sin; but the
Spirit is life because of
righteousness.

95:5 Chapter 4: Christian Science versus Spiritualism

Chapter 4: Christian Science versus Spiritualism
The love of the good and beautiful, and their immortality.

Seeking and Finding.

What the Beloved knew and taught,
Science repeats,
Through understanding, dearly sought,
With fierce heart-beats;

Adorable One.

(Spiritual insight)
Paul said, "To be spiritually minded is life." We approach God,
or Life, in proportion to our spirituality, our fidelity to Truth
and Love; and in that ratio we know all human need and are able to
discern the thought of the sick and the sinning for the purpose of
healing them. Error of any kind cannot hide from the law of God.

The great I Am,-
Omniscient power,- gleaming through
Mind, mother, man.

And Love is reflected in love.

(Death no benefactor)
We have no right to say that life depends on matter now, but
will not depend on it after death. We cannot spend our days here
in ignorance of the Science of Life, and expect to find beyond the
grave a reward for this ignorance. Death will not make us
harmonious and immortal as a recompense for ignorance. If here we
give no heed to Christian Science, which is spiritual and eternal,
we shall not be ready for spiritual Life hereafter.

487:3 Chapter 14: Recapitulation

Chapter 14: Recapitulation
Divine Science encompassing the universe and man;...

To-day, as oft, away from sin
Christ summons thee!
Truth pleads to-night: Just take Me in!
No mass for Me!

God leadeth us not into temptation, but delivereth us from sin, disease, and death.

Question 19. - Is materiality the concomitant of spirituality,
and is material sense a necessary preliminary
to the understanding and expression of Spirit?

ADAM = An inverted image of Spirit.

(Exercise of Mind faculties)
Life is deathless. Life is the origin and ultimate of man,
never attainable through death, but gained by walking in the
pathway of Truth both before and after that which is called death.
There is more Christianity in seeing and hearing spiritually than
materially. There is more Science in the perpetual exercise of
the Mind-faculties than in their loss. Lost they cannot be, while
Mind remains. The apprehension of this gave sight to the blind
and hearing to the deaf centuries ago, and it will repeat the
wonder.

(Vision opening)
Life is real, and death is the illusion. A demonstration of the
facts of Soul in Jesus' way resolves the dark visions of material
sense into harmony and immortality. Man's privilege at this
supreme moment is to prove the words of our Master: "If a man keep
my saying, he shall never see death." To divest thought of false
trusts and material evidences in order that the spiritual facts of
being may appear, - this is the great attainment by means of which
we shall sweep away the false and give place to the true. Thus we
may establish in truth the temple, or body, "whose builder and
maker is God."
