- Section 1 -

Genesis 1:31
31 And God saw every thing that he
had made, and, behold, it was very
good. And the evening and the morning
were the sixth day.
Genesis 2:1
1 Thus the heavens and the earth
were finished, and all the host of
them.

***
John 1:1,3
1 In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God, and the
Word was God.
3 All things were made by him; and
without him was not any thing made
that was made.

The Way

No blight, no broken wing, no moan,
Truth's fane can dim;
Eternal swells Christ's music-tone,
In heaven's hymn.

For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.

(Spiritual harmony)
The divine Principle and idea constitute spiritual harmony, -
heaven and eternity. In the universe of Truth, matter is unknown.

525:17-24 Chapter 15: Genesis

(No baneful creation)
In the Gospel of John, it is declared that all things were made
through the Word of God, "and without Him [the logos, or word]
was not anything made that was made." Everything good or worthy,
God made. Whatever is valueless or baneful, He did not make, -
hence its unreality. In the Science of Genesis we read that He
saw everything which He had made, "and, behold, it was very good."

269:21-4 Chapter 10: Science of Being

Chapter 10: Science of Being
Divine Science understood and acknowledged.

I thank Thee O Father,...

Thus olden faith's pale star now blends
In seven-hued white!
Life, without birth and without end,
Emitting light!

Give us grace for to-day;
feed the famished affections.

(Biblical foundations)
The testimony of the material senses is neither absolute nor
divine. I therefore plant myself unreservedly on the teachings of
Jesus, of his apostles, of the prophets, and on the testimony of
the Science of Mind. Other foundations there are none. All other
systems - systems based wholly or partly on knowledge gained
through the material senses - are reeds shaken by the wind, not
houses built on the rock.
(Rejected theories)
The theories I combat are these: (1) that all is matter; (2)
that matter originates in Mind, and is as real as Mind, possessing
intelligence and life. The first theory, that matter is
everything, is quite as reasonable as the second, that Mind and
matter coexist and cooperate. One only of the following
statements can be true: (1) that everything is matter; (2) that
everything is Mind.

Truth versus error

To-day, as oft, away from sin
Christ summons thee!
Truth pleads to-night: Just take Me in!
No mass for Me!

God leadeth us not into temptation, but delivereth us from sin, disease, and death.

Question 21. - Do the five corporeal senses constitute man?
ADAM = Life's counterfeit, which ultimates in death.

(Victory for Truth)
The conservative theory, long believed, is that there are two
factors, matter and mind, uniting on some impossible basis. This
theory would keep truth and error always at war. Victory would
perch on neither banner. On the other hand, Christian Science
speedily shows Truth to be triumphant. To corporeal sense, the
sun appears to rise and set, and the earth to stand still; but
astronomical science contradicts this, and explains the solar
system as working on a different plan. All the evidence of
physical sense and all the knowledge obtained from physical sense
must yield to Science, to the immortal truth of all things.
