Acts 28:3-5
3 And when Paul had gathered a
bundle of sticks, and laid them on
the fire, there came a viper out of
the heat, and fastened on his hand.
4 And when the barbarians saw the
venomous beast hang on his hand, they
said among themselves, No doubt this
man is a murderer, whom, though he
hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance
suffereth not to live.
5 And he shook off the beast into
the fire, and felt no harm.

Psalm 103:2-5
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and
forget not all his benefits:
3 Who forgiveth all thine
iniquities; who healeth all thy
4 Who redeemeth thy life from
destruction; who crowneth thee with
lovingkindness and tender mercies;
5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with
good things; so that thy youth is
renewed like the eagle's.

243:4 Chapter 8: Footsteps of Truth

Chapter 8: Footsteps of Truth

Christian Science Healing (1)

Christ was not crucified - that doom
Was Jesus' part;
For Sharon's rose must bud and bloom
In human heart. *
*God was manifest in the Flesh- St.Paul

Enable us to know, -as in heaven, so on earth,- God is omnipotent, supreme.

(Ancient and modern miracles)
The divine Love, which made harmless the poisonous viper, which
delivered men from the boiling oil, from the fiery furnace, from
the jaws of the lion, can heal the sick in every age and triumph
over sin and death. It crowned the demonstrations of Jesus with
unsurpassed power and love. But the same "Mind . . . which was
also in Christ Jesus" must always accompany the letter of Science
in order to confirm and repeat the ancient demonstrations of
prophets and apostles. That those wonders are not more commonly
repeated to-day, arises not so much from lack of desire as from
lack of spiritual growth.

295:5 Chapter 10: Science of Being

Chapter 10: Science of Being
Divine Science understood and acknowledged.

I thank Thee O Father,...

Thus olden faith's pale star now blends
In seven-hued white!
Life, without birth and without end,
Emitting light!

Give us grace for to-day;
feed the famished affections.

(Mortals unlike immortals)
God creates and governs the universe, including man. The
universe is filled with spiritual ideas, which He evolves, and
they are obedient to the Mind that makes them. Mortal mind would
transform the spiritual into the material, and then recover man's
original self in order to escape from the mortality of this error.
Mortals are not like immortals, created in God's own image; but
infinite Spirit being all, mortal consciousness will at last yield
to the scientific fact and disappear, and the real sense of being,
perfect and forever intact, will appear.
